When a country ignores its education and schooling system we find ourselves in a situation where sooner or later that country is going to pay the price very high. The price is often paid in the long term by growing a generation that will not be very helpful and will not generally speaking generate and reach its potential. Like a bad investment, the return on that generation will be too low. In our days technology made the gap between those who are educated at a high level and those whom are not widen. Technology goes much faster and if you're behind, technology and going slow, you will soon not be able to keep up. The result will be societies that live in different centuries and different standards. Schooling is about being part of the present and the future and simply not existing at all.
